What to expect
Placement, permits and hurricane-season realities
On your own driveway or private property, no permit is required anywhere we deliver in Lee County. If a container needs to sit on a public street instead, City of Cape Coral, FL is the office to confirm a temporary placement permit with for an address inside Cape Coral itself; Fort Myers, Estero, Bonita Springs, Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel handle that the same way through their own municipal offices, and the unincorporated communities we serve — North Fort Myers, Matlacha, Pine Island, Lehigh Acres, San Carlos Park, Alva — route the same question to Lee County, FL instead, since none of them has a separate city hall of its own. If your project involves any digging or footing work, call Sunshine 811 (call 811 before you dig) first so underground lines get located before a bucket ever goes in the ground.
Hurricane season genuinely changes the calculus here. Atlantic hurricane season runs June through November, and Hurricane Ian's 2022 landfall near Cape Coral is a real, current reminder of how much impact a storm can have across Lee County — tell us if your project is time-sensitive around a forecast and we'll work the schedule around it. Canal-community HOA rules are also worth a heads-up: a lot of Cape Coral's canal-front streets are narrower than a standard driveway approach, and some HOAs set their own limits on how long a container can sit visible from the street. Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel add one more wrinkle, since both are barrier islands reached only by causeway — we build that crossing time into the delivery window rather than treating it as a surprise.
Local knowledge
Why local coverage actually matters
Anyone can put a list of place names on a web page. What makes a difference on delivery day is whether the driver you get has actually been down your street.
Our own drivers know that a narrow canal-front street in southwest Cape Coral needs a different placement than a wide new driveway out in Lehigh Acres or North Fort Myers, and they know which routes and bridge crossings actually run on time. They also know the routine of running the causeway out to Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel, and what a tropical system's worth of downed limbs weighs by the time a truck gets back to it.
That local knowledge is the difference between a container that lands exactly where you want it and a wasted trip.
